My name is Mae, a piano teacher with over 25 years experience as a specialist
teaching children and beginners how to play the piano. I have been blessed to learn classic piano
under a great teacher and that is why I have developed a passion for teaching using
methods that are age appropriate and progressive.
Over the last 25 years I have developed learning techniques that result not only in effective and
speedy learning but most importantly, a love for the piano and for music in general. These techniques
consist in reading, writing and playing notes. I typically customize each lesson according to the students’
learning style and level of interest.
The goal I set with my students is to discover that learning piano can be easy and fun and that playing music
can inspire the desire to do well which opens up an enriching experience not only in school but also in life.
