My name is Aaryn and I have been in childcare for over 10 years. Starting as a nanny and then a summer camp counselor, I found my love for working with children. I have my degree in Social Science and Humanities, and I am working toward completing my degree in child development and early childhood education.
My personal philosophy when it comes to teaching children is when you let the children lead and provide structure and boundaries, kids flourish in self confidence and develop agency, individuality and choice. I value being able to create and maintain a safe space for children to be themselves while developing emotionally.
In my free time I enjoy reading, playing piano, painting, and walking. I have a daughter, Maggie, who has enjoyed our Preschool Program and she has instilled a new sense of purpose in my career of helping children learn through interacting with their environment and getting their hands messy.
