Megan

Megan is a Santa Rosa resident, an experienced music educator, and a mom of three young children. With more than nine years of experience teaching music, she understands firsthand how important it is for children to feel supported, encouraged, and excited to learn. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of the Pacific and a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Concordia University Irvine. Megan has taught students from TK through middle school in piano, voice, ukulele, recorder, band, percussion, choir, and general music. She loves helping students build confidence, try new things, and experience the joy of making music. Her goal is to create a positive environment where students of different ages, abilities, and learning styles can feel successful while developing both their musical skills and creativity. As our Music Director, Megan will work closely with our Music Mentors to support great teaching, strengthen our programs, and create meaningful performance opportunities for students. She brings experience developing music programs, organizing concerts and productions, and supporting fellow educators, while keeping student growth and connection at the center of everything she does. Megan will also teach students directly as a Music Mentor, helping her stay closely connected to our families and the everyday experience of our young musicians. As both an educator and a parent, she is passionate about helping children grow in confidence, creativity, and their love of music. We’re so happy to have Megan joining the Art & Soul family!
