Lina

Lina is a creative and enthusiastic Music and Art Mentor at Art & Soul who loves helping children discover their own creativity. Originally from Ukraine, Lina grew up surrounded by the arts and attended music school there. She plays guitar, ukulele and sings. She also has a strong passion for drawing, painting, clay, photography, and other forms of visual art. Her ability to work across both music and art makes her a wonderful fit for the creative, multi-disciplinary environment at Art & Soul.

Lina has been working with children since she was young, beginning with babysitting as a teenager and later incorporating guitar lessons and art activities into the time she spent with children. Lina especially enjoys making learning active and engaging and understands that every child learns differently.

Outside of teaching, Lina is an accomplished creative artist. She has worked professionally as a photographer and mural artist, collaborating with clients on creative concepts and painting custom wall art and designs. She is studying Interior Design at Santa Rosa Junior College, further developing her eye for color, composition, design, and visual creativity.

As a mentor, Lina strives to create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable experimenting, asking questions, and expressing themselves. She brings patience, imagination, and a playful approach to her lessons, and she especially enjoys using activities, games, exercises, and creative projects to keep students involved. Lina is excited to share her love of both music and art with Art & Soul students and help them build skills, confidence, and a lifelong connection to creativity.
