Artist/Musician
Instruments: Voice, Cello, Ukulele & Guitar
Teaches in: Sonoma County

Mentor Cori brings a wonderful combination of visual art, music, creativity, and experience with children to the Art & Soul team! As both an artist and musician, Cori loves having different ways to express herself creatively and is excited to share that enthusiasm with her students.

As a visual artist, Cori has a particular love for drawing and creating detailed pencil artwork. She has a strong eye for observation, shading, expression, and detail. She also loves clay and all other modalities we teach here at Art & Soul. Musically, Cori is equally versatile. She reads all of the primary clefs and plays ukulele, cello, guitar, and voice, giving her the ability to connect with students across several of our music program.

Just as important to us, Cori comes to Art & Soul with significant experience working with children. She has worked in both classroom and private childcare settings, including managing groups of 25+ children ranging from infants through age 14. She describes one of her priorities as making sure every child feels safe, understood, and cared for—a philosophy that fits beautifully with the way we approach mentoring at Art & Soul. Her background also includes experience with early childhood education, classroom management, curriculum implementation, activity planning, and parent communication.

Whether she’s helping a student discover a new artistic technique, explore an instrument, develop their musical skills, or simply feel more confident creating something of their own, Mentor Cori brings patience, creativity, and a warm, encouraging presence to the classroom. We’re so happy to have her sharing both her artistic and musical talents with our Art & Soul students!
