My name is Hashim. I grew up in a small suburban town called Monrovia located in southern California and moved up here to Sonoma County in 2014 and have traveled back and forth ever since. I’ve been in love with writing and music since I was a teenager. Ive been playing piano since 2010 and I’ve been teaching students of all ages and various skill levels since 2019. I’ve played in local jazz and fusion groups in the North bay and you might catch me at local open mic from time to time. While I’m primarily self taught, I have also been classically trained by multiple private instructors and I have taken several college level courses on Music Theory, Performance, and Jazz Improvisation.
